Project Updates

As the world turns, I churn.

Hiya,

I just wanted to drop a quick update on some of my current projects with all of the events of the world disrupting things at the moment.

First, I hope you and yours are safe and sound. We’re doing OK here, even though my kids are bouncing off the walls without friends and school to light up their lives. Like everybody else, we’re in a ‘let’s see what happens’ defensive crouch.

Workwise, my novel Ghost River is 75% revised with an end of March deadline for the editor to give it the pro-touch, polish pass before a July 2020 release.

I’m stoked to get this book into your hands, because, frankly, it’s a strange seed that took root a few months ago. I reluctantly followed it’s smoky tendrils into the dark soil. What grew is a haunting and horrific story about living in a curse - one that you can never escape from (at least, I haven’t been able to yet). :P

To help promote Ghost River, I intended to play an alternative reality mystery game ‘Bad Box BBS’ with you all, so you could work together, crack some clues, and learn more about the horrifying history of Ghost River before release.

Unfortunately, revisions and world events are not letting me do that the way I want to (right now), so I will be revisiting the idea in April (after revisions). My priority is on the book itself. The fun stuff will come later. Promise. :)

In other news, I’m toying with the idea of opening a Red Bubble store to make some of my art prints available for purchase. When that happens, I’ll let you know.

Speaking of, the image above is a recent piece called ‘Desyre,’ and similar to ‘Worm Girl,’ she is based on a character from Ghost River.

Don’t let her pretty face fool you. ;)
